Description:
A reputation for country-cooking and one of the more pleasant rural beer gardens in the Oberpfalz is enough to cause people to take a trip to this out-of-the way Zoigl pub, Their name is equivalent to a rake in English (the gardening implement rather than the Victorian dandy).

Accessible via public transport, to a point. There’s a regular a train to Reuth then a simple 20-25 minute walk leads to this pretty farmstead with a genteel, rustic setting.

Outside in spring is a lovely place to be and lives up to the hype. Inside, a surprisingly ample beer hall awaits. Light wood, candelabras, and fairly big budget, however there are some quirks like the wall of wooden prongs used to store Steinkrug (stone beer mugs). Their Zoigl is reasonably priced albeit not exactly in the same economy bracket as the core venues.

If you’ve tried the core Zoigl venues and are seeking to expand your reach, this proves an accessible and enjoyable option.
