Year of Inscription: 2025
Venue Type: Belgian Beer Café / Beer Specialists / Compact
EBG Rating: 8.4/10
Choice/Quality of Drinks:
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Belgian beer specialists. Despite the customs changes and financial difficulties wrought by Brexit, TripelB still manages to import many Belgian beers which could be regarded in England as ‘non-standard’ and which you wouldn’t find in most other places. For beer specialists there may be some room for improvement at the absolute sharp end, but this is comfortably superior to all but the stiffest competition. 100 bottles and a healthy tap selection.
Style/Décor:
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A faithful effort at a Belgian café. Small, but colourful, with a busy, eclectic decor of Belgian breweriana. Small terrace out front.
Atmosphere/Character:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lively venue adjacent to several others bars which on Copenhagen street give Worcester a little niche of city-like nightlife and energy.
Amenities/Events:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Food, snacks, outdoor seating, live music, takeaway.
Value For Money:
❤️❤️❤️
Not cheap but in line with typical prices for the quality of goods available.
Description:
While London struggles to produce even a single handful of half decent Belgian/Dutch theme pubs, some of England’s best efforts can be found in the provinces. Often labours of love, TripelB in Worcester is no different, and is really a love letter from people who, similar to ourselves, found a trip to Belgium like entering a new world of flavours and indulgence. As a result, their offerings on tap and in the fridge stand up handsomely to virtually anywhere in the country. Barring the most specialist stuff which you’ll find now and then at craft beer bars, there is nevertheless a strong selection here. They make an effort to match the glassware to the beers as well.
It’s a compact, colourful venue bedecked in Belgian breweriana, and situated next to a row of other bars which on balmy evenings elevates Worcester’s nightlife to feel like it is a larger city.
The bar is easily versatile enough to pop in for a quiet afternoon and rumination, as seen by the regulars propped at the bar.
A real standout for specialist bars in the UK.
