Description:
Established 1978, you’d have to say it has become a stalwart of Lübeck old town nightlife. Open 4 days a week on evenings, it is also arguably the smallest pub in the city too.

Enter a classic brick gothic building into hallway with a games room to the left barely big enough to contain table football and a ledge, with the bar room to the right.

The bar room is sensitively decorated with fairylights and shelves, with something of a feminine touch, adding to the nighttime ambience well.

The bar itself is almost a niche. Space is at a premium but the furnishing is designed to maximise the space, both intimate without feeling cramped.

There’s a decent selection of drinks here, catering for most tastes, broad rather than deep. They promote their ‘legendary’ liquorice schnapps.

Tibia also allows you to order and eat pizza in, and will make the call – you hand over the money to the delivery guy.

Smoking is permitted but the side room is a designated non-smoking area.

Service is friendly, direct and has that sense of ownership you get with Munich Boazn, the lady of the house is the head of the house. You get the idea.

Quirky, distinctive and atmospheric, this is a bar you’ll need to time a visit well in order to find a seat, but once attained, it’s a lovely place to be.
