| Description | What you might picture as a ‘proper pub’ – neighbourly ungentrified hangout spot with a homely feel. Well reviewed. Smallish place with the usually appealing down to earth and non-corporate environment that swings from low-key murmurs and private chat to busy and boisterous on football days. A three room setup with a side snug and back yard, there are different areas to pick from that have their own feel, quite unusual for such a small place. It took a few visits to win us around, but if you’re familiar with The Swan, Phoenix, Golden Ball nearby and enjoy those, you need to add the Slip Inn to that last. (Added January 2024) |
