Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ales from breweries located in the village itself, with a range of cask and keg to choose from, vastly superior to most rural offerings as a result and a standout in the region.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️
Traditional roadside village pub with a pubby ground floor and social space set out primarily for drinking and socialising, with a games room to the side. A dining room upstairs and hotel rooms to the side show the scale of the operation is bigger than first meets the eye. Plain, homely decoration in large part that at least hasn’t gone down the route of anodyne grey/beige washing.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Popular village pub with cast of locals complimented by the hotel visitors and lunch trade. Friendly and welcoming feel.

Meals, snacks, outdoor seating, beer shop, hotel, fireplaces, pool table, darts
Value For Money❤️❤️❤️
Fair value overall, but nothing overly notable.
DescriptionCropton’s brewing operations are its most notable present day feature and here is the pub that shows it off. A vastly superior cask and keg range by the standards of usual village pubs and a popular destination pub not only for beer fans but locals, day-trippers and hotel guests. The set up is unpretentious and typically Yorkshire, gladly ungentrified and the presence of a games room as well as the upstairs dining room shows it off as a true all-rounder. (Added December 2023)
