| Choice/ Quality of Drinks | ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ The beer selection is very strong here on cask, keg and bottles, competing with most places across Norwich. A well stocked bar for alternatives. |
| Style/ Décor | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Among many pubs to be opened out in the 1970s, a corner local with seating around a central bar. Furnished with mid/light brown wood bench seating and decorated with hops and sparsely arranged retro signage. The Leopard signage is unmissable on approach. Terrace/patio in the back yard. |
| Atmosphere/ Character | ❤️❤️❤️ While there are many things to like about the Leopard, it is perhaps too genteel for its own good and lacks the loungey homeliness of the Alexandra or bunker feel of the White Lion. Still, it is friendly and welcoming with a neighbourly character. |
| Amenities/ Events | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Food, snacks, outdoor seating, events |
| Value For Money | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Good value for money for the high quality wares on offer. |
| Description | Sold by Bateman’s brewery in 2013 and refurbished, there is a light, airy and genteel nature to The Leopard which perhaps arguably moves it into an ale house/café category rather than the neighbourhood corner boozer it was. The beer selection is very strong here, across the range of cask, keg and bottles, competing with most places across Norwich. In our view pub lacks the instant grab-me factor of Norwich’s Alexandra, Fat Cat and White Lion – very strong competition after all – but it is friendly, welcoming and neighbourly. Casting the net more widely, it would clearly be among the best pubs in most neighbourhoods across the country and so comes firmly recommended. (Added August 2024) |
