Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
9 cask pumps featuring local and regional smaller breweries among high quality national brands. One pump now regularly serves a real cider. Extensive selection of rums.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️
Warm, colourful interior with a tribal/ethnic/hippy decor splashed across the bare bones of a traditional pub. It is fairly inoffensive despite that description, but might not be a traditionalist’s cup of tea. A corner bar with chunky furniture and lounge space to the rear and upstairs.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A neighbourhood local, but being on the fringes of the city centre, it also has a city-ish feel too. Some regulars, some passing trade, and a feeling of quiet confidence to the place.
Amenities/
Events
❤️❤️❤️
Snacks, outdoor seating, live music
Value For Money❤️❤️❤️
Fair value overall considering what’s available
DescriptionAn 1804 corner local with some remaining features and layout, but subject to an extensive refurbishment. No longer any kind of traditional pub in its decoration, but the bare bones will still have a familiar ring.

Known as the ‘Little Grapes’, but an extension has expanded it. Stairs now lead to a partly sheltered patio area, atop the extension.

Community events and live jazz every Sunday make it a great choice for couples, groups of post-grad types, bohemians, artists and so on.

A little soft for Liverpool, but that kind of variety around the city is a good thing. (Added July 2024)
