| Description | An 1804 corner local with some remaining features and layout, but subject to an extensive refurbishment. No longer any kind of traditional pub in its decoration, but the bare bones will still have a familiar ring. Known as the ‘Little Grapes’, but an extension has expanded it. Stairs now lead to a partly sheltered patio area, atop the extension. Community events and live jazz every Sunday make it a great choice for couples, groups of post-grad types, bohemians, artists and so on. A little soft for Liverpool, but that kind of variety around the city is a good thing. (Added July 2024) |
