| Choice/ Quality of Drinks | ❤️❤️❤️ A reasonable range – 3 or 4 cask lines with scope for more, decent fridge selection covering bases, and a few keg lines beyond the norm. |
| Style/ Décor | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ An eye catching traditional interior with Victorian elements. Stained glass, fireplace, red upholstered seats, worn in and characterful and central bar spanning a few rooms. |
| Atmosphere/ Character | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Natural ambience inside, relaxed and pleasant when quite, and a good hubbub and social scene when busy. |
| Amenities/ Events | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Books, board games, outdoor seating, snacks, occasional events |
| Value For Money | ❤️❤️ Not the best value ever. |
| Description | Reopened after Covid, a pleasant discovery. A pub dating from 1870 with classic town boozer features. Red upholstered bench seating, fireplaces, stained glass and an opened out but still traditional interior which a bar spans. A reasonable beer range across cask, keg and bottles without really reaching cutting edge. Big potential to be brought back to its former glory as a beloved local boozer. (Added June 2023) |
