| Choice/Quality of Drinks | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A good range of 6+ cask ales of various styles both regional and local. Ample but mainstream alternatives. |
| Style/Décor | ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Preserved 1970s boozer. Stone cottage on a cobbled street with original wood fittings in a multiroom two level pub. The bar room is at the centre with lounges adjacent and corner nooks to either side. Upstairs is a pool room. Rich reds, green leather, varnished wood. |
| Atmosphere/ Character | ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ A terrific social hub spanning different generations, social and friendly. A tad local but busy enough trade for that not to be a negative. |
| Amenities/ Events | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Pool, Darts, Chess, Dominoes, Music Nights, TV, Snacks, jukebox, limited outdoor seating |
| Value For Money | ❤️❤️❤️ Standard value for the area. |
| Description | After being thwarted during Covid and then a closure late in 2022 we finally made it here to verify what we suspected was true all along – this is an amazing pub. A stone cottage on a cobbled street, the pub dating back to the 1970s with stylish CAMRA national inventory interior. It is also cosy, social and local with amenities and multi rooms for different activities without ever losing the core of the pub or feeling shepherded away. What a pub to have as your local! Visit as soon as you can. |
