| Description | When you’re hovering one line of latitude below the Arctic circle, your expectations for a good pub are adjusted accordingly. All the more surprising then to find this bar, a slice of cosmopolitan life on the fringe of the town centre. Every bit as relevant as any Helsinki bar you can care to visit, this place is cosy, intimate, off-beat, friendly and one of the best places in the city. Tap beer options are unexciting but bolstered by superior fridge options including local craft ales, while a competent back bar keeps things ticking over fine. If you want to meet some locals and experience the cultural scene, there’s no question that you start here. As it is tiny and very popular, we recommend not leaving it to chance, as you may not find a seat! |
