A little higher than average but not excessive.

Description:
Funk & soul on vinyl played every day for 30+ years in a bar that is so deep rich red in huge that it feels like a filter has been applied over your eyes.

Candlelit tables and a small bar churning out a very nice range of cocktails and mixers to a high standard.

Compact but with a neighbourhood informality as could be expected somewhere like Schanzenviertel district.

It’s a late bar – 9pm opening which for Germany is definitely on the later side, going through to the early hours of the morning.

It can become crammed, it’s only little after all, but that shouldn’t put anyone off visiting for a high quality drink, lounging or dancing.

A nice counterpoint to the old St Pauli boozers. (Added September 2025)
