Compact two-room interior in arch-traditional Gaststätte style. Plenty of dark wood and minimalist in decor, with a bar facing both rooms.

The interior is rarely busy outside of colder months, with most action happening on the terrace. However, it is worth trying in all seasons.

Description:
Opening in 2016, you could be forgiven for thinking Landbierparadies in Nordost district had been around far longer when you wander in to find a dark wood fit tavern with a finish and wear that looks like it could have been around decades earlier.

However, for 6 months of the year that interior barely features, as a large Biergarten is set up in the space out front. Any hint of dry weather and mild temperatures and everyone is outdoors. However, it will be interesting to visit in winter.

Landbierparadies is a small chain focusing on beer from independent breweries in Franconia. They always offer 1 beer from the wooden barrel on tap, with a sizeable bottle offering of the various quirky and impossible to categorise Franconian beer styles. The combination of characterful, arch-traditional interior, buzzy garden and excellent drinks proves an irresistible draw. It’s an easy one to reach also, with a U-Bahn stop only a few minutes walk away.
