Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A superb selection of cask beer and good selection of bottles from Belgium and Germany. Zero keg beers (a personal decision of theirs) and limited back bar. One or two ciders and perries.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A traditional stripped back minimalist rustic ale house with a timeless appearance, red walls, wooden furniture, genteel pastoral decoration that compliments it. Initially comes across as a small pub with an immediate cast of locals to navigate, but check the larger backroom for space.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️
Immediate impressions may suggest a cliquey locals hangout, however this is soon dispelled by the genteel nature of the place, with natural ambience uninterrupted by music or lairyness. The modus operandi is natural calm and cheerful conversation. Inevitably this attracts an older crowd, however it deserves better.
Amenities/

Bar billiards, books, snacks.

DescriptionA traditional stripped back minimalist rustic ale house with a timeless appearance, red walls, wooden furniture, genteel pastoral decoration that compliments it.

Initially comes across as a small pub with an immediate cast of locals to navigate, but check the larger backroom for space.

Immediate impressions may suggest a cliquey locals hangout, and there is a bit of that, however this is soon dispelled by the genteel nature of the place, with natural ambience uninterrupted by music or lairyness and a friendly welcome.

The modus operandi is natural calm and cheerful conversation. Inevitably this attracts an older crowd. There is scope here to broad its appeal, but nevertheless comes highly recommended.
