Description
|
One of Berlin’s special venues and institutions that it would be a shame to miss out on visited. Beer is not the main event here (although you will see most people with a glass on their table) but the range of liqueurs provided by the proprietor, all stacked behind the bar. A friendly, locally famous guy runs the show and was very welcoming to us on both occasions. Smoking is allowed which will deter some but ultimately completes the sense of atmosphere and place as you are transported back through history. The dollop of sleaze and historic glamour transports you to the roaring 20’s era.
