Description:
Druide is a lively young hangout near the Union Brauerei and often picks up trade due to Union being closed on Sunday and Mondays.

Enter a compact woodstrip saloon with ceiling fan and personalised interior. There are darts played on a raised area to the rear past the bar. They also have sports on TV.

Druide offers a superior offering of beers to the usual North German/Bremen standards which alone makes of of interest (for example Engel from Baden-Wurttemburg), but more so allied to the fact this is a character hangout with a distinctive identity.

There’s definitely a clique of sorts at the bar, but we are in the West End where they are not expecting too many tourists.

There’s a loungey, living-room feel to the place which immediately makes you want to dwell for longer. This, the Union brewery and a few pubs either side of the tramlines justify a trip out to Walle in Bremen’s West End for at least one evening of your stay.
