Large open plan bar, with seating in a hall to the right and the bar area to the left. Operating as a record store too, the place is a wash of colour with records and merchandise fastened to the walls, each a celebration of music.

❤️❤️❤️❤️
Popular, it’s a lively, vibrant place. Bar area is social but a little cluttered and would benefit from a more distinctive drinking area.

❤️❤️❤️❤️
Food, snacks, record store, merchandise.

❤️❤️❤️
Prices are reasonably democratic, so while generally high they have some cheaper options too and a weekly food menu that is pretty good value.
Description:
One of Gothenburg’s most effective venues, there’s no wonder Dirty Records is so popular. Based on lively Andra Långgatan with many bars and bistros, it shines above a – yes, I will say it – shower of mediocrity. Gothenburg certainly has nightlife areas, but finding venues that are above average is a struggle.
No problems here though – enter to find a large open plan bar, with seating in a hall to the right and the bar area to the left.
Operating as a record store too, the place is a wash of colour with records and merchandise fastened to the walls, each a celebration of music. The venue works well as a meeting spot, characterful place with an energy and verve.
Drinks-wise, they specialise in local craft beers with 16 taps, plus a few natural wines and independent made ciders – modern and up to date.
Prices are reasonably democratic, so while generally high they have some cheaper options too and a weekly food menu that is pretty good value.
Sweden’s laws require cooked food and here they operate a vegetarian restaurant. Like most Swedish bars the food turns things overly bourgeois and staid but overall, outside of mealtimes it plays third fiddle here after drinking and socialising.
You won’t want to miss this out, but be warned it is very popular – time your visit carefully.
