| Description | One of the central late night hangouts in Freiburg, but it is sad to report that due to complaints from residents about the noise, they are due to vacate the premises in 2025. Who would live right next to a bar and complain about the noise? Anyway, for the time being there’s fun to be had here at this movie and reggae music themed kneipe, a smoky, social hangout, colourful and unpretentious in the extreme, not exactly the kind of bar you expect right next to one of the focal points of a city. Good local reports of the quality of the Rothaus Tannenzapfle pils may cause certain craft beer fans ears to prick up, while affordable mixers and cocktails should keep everyone happy, aside of those hoping to get home without their clothes stinking of smoke! If that doesn’t bother you so much, then it’s one to mark down for your visit. |
