Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good rather than great, 8 taps with a reasonable fridge selection, with mixers and whiskies represented well.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Housed in an Art Nouveau building, a three room interior of dark wood panels and carved frames, ocean green walls, light wood tiled flooring, tan and studded upholstered furniture, exposed bulbs and copper detailing. The fireplaces and ceiling were inherited from an insurance company who used to be situated here.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A feeling of natural ambience is achieved through the interior regardless of how busy it is, while it stays feeling relatively refined – a showpiece rather than somewhere to really let your hair down.

Value For Money❤️❤️
The city centre going rate, ie. not cheap!
DescriptionFormerly a showcase of beers, it has since stripped back its offering, but not to the extent where you have completely lost the point of it. There is still a good range on tap and in the fridge, while the interior in a 130 year old Art Nouveau building is a standout feature. The premises formerly house an insurance company, and quite a grand operation that must have been. Carved wood ceiling and lavish tiles provide plenty to look at as you recline in a kind of refined comfort not normally associated with Bier places. However, that is not to say it is completely staid – there is a natural feeling ambience to the place, and while it may not put everyone at ease it will certainly impress.
