| Description | Formerly a showcase of beers, it has since stripped back its offering, but not to the extent where you have completely lost the point of it. There is still a good range on tap and in the fridge, while the interior in a 130 year old Art Nouveau building is a standout feature. The premises formerly house an insurance company, and quite a grand operation that must have been. Carved wood ceiling and lavish tiles provide plenty to look at as you recline in a kind of refined comfort not normally associated with Bier places. However, that is not to say it is completely staid – there is a natural feeling ambience to the place, and while it may not put everyone at ease it will certainly impress. |
