Description
A bolt from the blue. This place stands out not only among its Erfurt contemporaries but in Germany as a whole. The time and effort to assemble the fixtures, fittings and decor, and the skill in producing one of the most cosy, brooding and atmospheric pubs you’re likely to visit anywhere, is striking. This isn’t all about the decor either, by far. Along with a couple of unusual tap options, the bottle range is extensive, covering Franconia, Belgium, and craft options and a kitchen serving up typical pub food and a few regional specialities. There’s a very nice beer garden out of the back too which is buzzing on warm evenings. This is no pub-restaurant, it’s a place for socialising. Sublime, almost worth visiting Erfurt alone to find.
