Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Impressive array of local cask ales, craft keg and European bottles available, ever changing and award winning.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
An ale house situated under the railway arches, a station pub of sorts. Exposed brickwork with railway ephemera, heritage signage and RMT ties pinned above the bar. Two rooms, the main bar and a wider function style room with a piano.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A pleasant enough worn-in character to the place which keeps things going whether busy or quiet. Attracts most with the exception of under 25s.
Amenities/
Events
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Pies, tapas spreads, live music events, departure boards, snacks, limited outdoor seating
Value For Money❤️❤️❤️❤️
Clearly fair value for the beer offerings.
DescriptionMulti-award-winning station-themed ale house with an RMT union connection displayed by virtue of dozens of ties pinned behind the bar. Situated under the station arches itself, embedding itself literally in the railway. The crowd come here for a social ale house atmosphere and strong drinks selection. While the overall ensemble isn’t eye-catching or buzzing enough to knock you over, there is an amiable buzz and communal enough scene to be among alongside the top quality ales. This is helped along by occasional live music events and the sporting calendar.
