Knajpa type drinking at the entrance with lots of blackened wood, which leads into a central hall with high ceiling, net curtain and antique print on one side.

Very much a throwback to the old times. Simple grade 4 dining and boozing in a format that has barely changed.

DescriptionOne of Prague’s remaining ‘fours’. Ie – fourth grade establishment, by the people for the people, in the socialist era this denoted the class the operation was aiming at providing for. Fair prices and honest grub, and of course local life. Until a few years the menu was still printed daily on a typewriter. A tasteful renovation has left the dark walls, high ceiling, net curtains in the main area, with a knajpa style boozing area at the front, which unfortunately lacks a bit of a centrepiece to gather around, but is still welcome. Old, lived-in and really quite far away now from the establishments Prague offers younger people and tourists. A very intriguing option for someone who has visited Prague several times already.
