Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A core range from an independent brewery outside Prague complimented by a rotating offer from other regional brewers.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
1st Republic revivalism and genteel rustic charm is the theme in a typical, fairly upright ‘Hostinec’. A taproom at the entrance leads to a large seating hall with high ceilings decorated with twee wallpaper, nostalgic rustic items and blocks of individual tables.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Already an institution, but there is a hint of maintaining a tradition too, which pervades every inch of the place. Chatty lunch fare or evening socialising, albeit not as communally as some pubs.

Value For Money❤️❤️❤️❤️
Reasonably good value for money for beer and the daily menu for food.
DescriptionRevivalist genteel First Republic era pub-restaurant twinned with U Slovanske Lipy and the – now closed – U Vodoucha, but this is the first and best known. A terrific sense of institution and history pervades somewhere that actually has not been a centuries old fixture, testament to the tasteful decoration and setup. The format is independently brewed beers of different styles offered alongside classic Czech cooking which has a bit of flair and creativity too. While not as communal or intimate a setup, there is still a pleasant sense of institution to the place to compensate, and if you’re in the area it’s difficult to look past this pub.
