Pilsner Urquell, Radegast 10, and a familiar central European bar bar.

Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A neighbourhood corner pub with a high ceiling, but quite compact and intimate space across two rooms. The decoration takes inspiration from First Republic/post-Austria pubs with thick curtains and nice detailing along with, of course, plenty of wood panelling.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
The furniture is laid out in such a way as to accommodate people who want a casual drink on the stand or to sit and while away time in good company. The casual nature of it stands out – while they serve food, this pub has a social focus. This is also seen by its dog-friendly nature (noted also in its logo). Sometimes it can be overrun but normally it’s manageable.

Value For Money❤️❤️
Not very good value or fair value overall, so must be marked down. Pilsner Urquell for 20-25% more than you can easily find elsewhere and anywhere in Prague. 25 crowns difference between that and Radegast is farcical.
Description“At Beny’s” is a Pilsner Urquell pub, but more akin to Brno’s corner pubs like U Vodicku, U Vaclava and U Blahovky than the places you may be familiar with in Prague’s old town.

Are there things to criticise? Yes. The Pilsner Urquell is 20% more expensive than you can find easily elsewhere in the city, without justification. The volume dogs can get a bit much at times, and the service can sometimes come across a little too pleased with itself – if you’ve been to a city centre craft beer bar you’ll probably know what I mean.

But outside of that it’s a lovely, friendly, warm and welcoming pub, the beer and food is good and its a grand choice to hang out at.
