Description
We try to show due credit to venues that cover several bases well, and that can be said for this pub. There’s a little bit in there for a lot of people. If you like preserved interiors there are some nice Victorian tiles and fittings to enjoy. If you don’t like gloomy old man’s pubs, then this one is light and airy without losing its essential intimacy. If you are an epicurean then the selection of ales and whiskies will appeal. If you need to tighten your belt you might be surprised by the good value on offer. If  you are seeking local life away from the tourist trail you will find it here. If you are looking for live events and community, again, this pub delivers.
