| Choice/ Quality of Drinks | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A strong selection of contemporary craft beer on cask and keg with decent alternatives |
| Style/ Décor | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A neighbourhood pub with some preserved features such as the arched facade, etched glass and signage, the small lounges and communal upholstered bench seats. Lived in and worn in/worn out depending on your point of view. |
| Atmosphere/ Character | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A neighbourhood pub that attracts custom from the nearby college and north end residents, a bit of a ‘trad pub reboot’. |
| Amenities/ Events | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Darts, books, live events, pizza, snacks |
| Value For Money | ❤️❤️❤️ Normal prices, nothing overly scary. |
| Description | A traditional pub that’s kept a sense of relevance through its community events, pizza offerings and bang up to date beer options which are quite far beyond what you’d ordinarily expect from an out of town boozer. A 15 minute walk north from the centre to the college and fringe of the north end, this boozer still has some old world charm, a durability which is endearing, and an easy affability. With live performances, darts and low key informal social space in a nice intimate venue, it is one of the best choices for a drink in Preston. (Added May 2023) |
