| Choice/ Quality of Drinks | ❤️❤️❤️ Compact drinks range with independent UK craft keg the highlight. |
| Style/ Décor | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A British Indian mix with impressive tiled exterior leading to a small downstairs of informal pub/café furniture. Terrace patio upstairs. |
| Atmosphere/ Character | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ It feels like a pub, and it is a pub, unlike many other Desi ‘Pubs’ which are more like restaurants with a casual social scene. The service is friendly and welcoming and a few regulars add to the sense of character and community with plenty of chat even at quieter times. |
| Amenities/ Events | ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Desi food, snacks, live music, books, board games, community events, outdoor seating |
| Value For Money | ❤️❤️❤️ Lunch deals are very reasonable while the drinks offer overall is in line with other venues in the area. |
| Description | Listed in David Jesudason’s CAMRA published book ‘Desi Pubs’, this reportedly is the only pub in the country with a Landlady of Indian heritage. Family run with a distinctly friendly welcome and collegiate feel, these are people committed to procuring an atmosphere not only of civil tolerance but active cultural exchange. This may seem an over the top description for a multicultural city like London, but for the UK in general this counts as an absolute standout among a handful of such venues. As for the ‘product’ expect some craft keg ale options with a broad range of Indian dishes from typical Desi grills to Indo-Chinese and Indian Sunday roasts. With cricket on TV, live music events and outdoor seating, this pub that has been under threat multiple times in recent history now looks and feels vibrant (in the original meaning of the word, not the patronising/euphemistic sense), secure and back to life in good hands.
