| Description | Formerly ‘Oddfellows’ the new, rather turgid name of ‘Drop Inn’ for this pub is probably the worst thing about it, as it’s all positive after that. Ossett have done their typically tasteful refurbishment maintaining original features with sympathetic traditional decoration and maintaining a strong range of cask ales. A multiroom pub with low ceilings, there is a natural ambience to the place, which is complimented when neighbourly life pays a visit. Focusing on drinks with only pies and snacks as alternatives, this suits the format down to the ground. While it is tucked away, the pub is actually easy to reach by bus in between Halifax and Huddersfield, with the stop only 2 minutes down the street so should be seriously considered if you’re in the area.
