Description
Historic pub on the Strand, passing trade gives it a transient, occasionally touristic atmosphere but without losing its sense of institution. Several real ales, exposed beams, interesting artwork, this is every inch the ‘heritage pub’ you expect to find in London, as usual detracted from by chain ownership which forces elements onto it which are not a natural fit. All the same, in the final reckoning this remains a pub well worth spending time in.
