The going rate these days for a city centre Polish bar in a cosmopolitan area.

Description:
Stary Kufel, or Old Tankard balances the needs of craft beer and cocktail fans with aplomb, whilst also remaining on the delicate tightrope of being both modern and atmospheric and cosy with it.

A one-room space just off Gliwice’s central square, you will note exposed brick vaults, piano & gramophone and lamplights following a trusty and successful traditional formula while giving it a careful modern finish.

This is a cosmopolitan feeling hangout spot with the capacity to absorb casual visits, excited late night throngs and the see-and-be-seen crowd without impinging on one another, which is to its credit.

The selection of drinks is excellent and uncompromising, worth the money.

As other reviews attest to, it is really among Poland’s best bars.
