Choice/Quality of Drinks:
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beer specialists. 24+ taps with an emphasis on local beer from independent breweries, but a wealth of choice.

Style/Décor:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Exposed brick basement bar, candlelit with some retro signage, Front room with strange downstairs portal.

Atmosphere/Character:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Characterful in winter inside, or on the terrace in summer, but more tourists and fewer locals than some of the city’s bars.

Amenities/Events:
❤️❤️❤️
TV, snacks, outdoor seating.

Value For Money:
❤️
While there are high quality beers available for the price it is nevertheless pitches right at the top end of an already expensive city.

Description:
Situated lakeside by the Sortedams Sø, one of 3 artificial stretches of water which operate an uncanny valley between river, lake and harbour. The bar is situated in a basement but in summer it makes good use of their situation and becomes an al fresco drinking spot. In the winter, the basement surroundings are of bare brick, candle-lit and sparingly decorated with retro signage, some similar to the kind of thing you see in brown pubs, but overall aiming for a more chic effect than that.

This is a pub where you’ll find more tourists than many, a known fixture on Copenhagen’s craft beer circuit. The taplist is impressive, among the best in the city, and you will not want for variety of beer here. You may wish to say a few hail Marys after reviewing the pricing, which is also correspondingly up there near the top, with very few concessions.

However, the main point is, this is a stylish, atmospheric and distinctive bar with a lot of choice of options, a combination that Copenhagen doesn’t have that many competitors for.
