Browar Amber beers on tap with a compact bottle selection that perhaps isn’t quite cutting edge for Poland these days, but is nevertheless reasonable. Competent back bar.

Converted retail space into a 70s style lounge/living room with large rugs, sofas and tables covering the sprawling floors. Bar to the rear. Vintage furniture and cabinets by the walls.

Good value overall.
DescriptionThere is no point dragging you out to the fringes of Oliwa district from central Gdansk without good reason, but here it is. A very good reason. It actually doesn’t take that long at all by tram or train, so there’s no excuse not to try it.

A lovely neighbourhood pub set in a retail arcade that has transformed the space into a pubby/lounge like room of comfortable, vintage furniture and social space, with large carpets and tasteful choices all-round. It’s more spacious than it may seem at first, so be sure to wander around and pick your favourite spot. The atmosphere can rise and fall due to the tendency for large groups to arrive/leave – but the underlying impression is positive. With tap selections from Browar Amber, the first Polish craft brewery since independence, and a reasonable range of alternatives, there’s enough to keep you occupied here before moving on. Take a look at the train and tram options and you’ll discover it really isn’t that far away after all. (Added December 2023)
