| Description | This down-to-earth pub on the periphery of Maribor centre would be a pleasant enough place of itself, but add 8+ taps offering beer from cutting edge Czech beers, a friendly and enthusiastic owner and you have a very appealing venue. Unpretentious setup clearly inheriting the well-worn remnants of a prior operation with its wood fittings and fairly cosy space. It’s always nice to find such places in the land of the blandest Caffe Bars where pub culture, outside of Irish bars, not only doesn’t exist but doesn’t seem even to be understood as a concept. Finding something like this that also allows you to access some of the best lager on the planet (no joke) is a delight. (Added April 2023) |
