Description:
Nearly every sizeable town or city in Czechia has a Pilsner Urquell Original Restaurant, or other such franchised place which even when traditionally furnished can come across a little ‘off-the-rack’, and are usually heavily food-focused.

However, those of you who visit Prague will know that one or two are proper boozers which may serve food but are ostensibly hangout spots.

This place, one of two in the city (the Nova edition was closed when we last visited, so missed out) is a boozer and somewhere to go to meet friends or even just to have a nice beer and watch TV or read.

A casual atmosphere with service to match, the main draw is unpasteurised Pilsner Urquell from the tank, at pretty decent prices, at least within a range locals would consider.

The interior is warm, the atmosphere is social and due to these smaller drinking focused Pilsner pubs being relatively rare in Moravia, it does feel almost like an extension of Prague.
