| Choice/ Quality of Drinks | ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Superb bottom fermented Czech lagers, unpasteurised and unfiltered available from the tap, with PET bottles also. A spontaneous fermentation side project called Little Creatures adds to an already impressive roster. Seasonal specials available. |
| Style/ Décor | ❤️❤️❤️ The brewery’s yard itself. There is a covered table that can be considered the domain of the stamgasti, but can be used if quiet, and outdoor tables in the yard. |
| Atmosphere/ Character | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A small town atmosphere, relaxed and convivial, somewhat ad hoc, but there are efforts to make it more than just a taproom in a yard as well. |
| Amenities/ Events | ❤️❤️❤️ Snacks, outdoor seating, takeaway/shop/merch |
| Value For Money | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Fair value for nearly everything on sale. |
| Description | A mammoth logo but not a mammoth operation, this small brewery in the wine producing town of Mikulov is further proof of Czech’s love of the land and what springs from it. The venue itself is little more than a yard with taps and tables built into it, thrown open on pleasant afternoons so you can drink their beers straight from the source. There are some fabulous beers too, from the seasonal specials to their spontaneous fermentation projects under the name Wild Creatures. The atmosphere is that of a town operation, most coming and going seem to know each other, but it is a tourist destination and there are visitors passing by too. An opportunity to experience some personal service and beer direct from the source in a deliberately raw, unvarnished environment is one to savour. |
