| Description | One unexpected quirk of Vršovice becoming such a fashionable, nouveau-riche district of Prague has been to shed an attractive, complimentary contrast on the few old school boozers that remains. This one is in a prime spot, surrounded by instagrammable cafes and craft beer joints. Staffed by a kindly old woman (by Czech standards) and churning out honest budget fare which attracts a canny range of the typical grizzled regulars and youngsters here for a cheap pint and the retro experience. As usual, this considerable improves the atmosphere and the kind of democratic social mixing you find in a pub. There are some personal touches to the place which make it an attractive hangout spot even if first appearances and the odd scary glance may prove intimidating at first. It squeaks onto our guide.
