Not cheap for anything, this is a sudden jolt if you’ve been going around the city. There are quality offerings to be enjoyed here but just make sure you go with your eyes open.

Description:
Very few venues in Milan can boast a basement like this bar, a superbly atmospheric well lit cellar for wine, perhaps cheese & meats, perhaps a full meal.

IMPORTANT: Bear in mind the basement section is generally only opened in the evenings in summer. There is a terrace out front and that is always going to appeal to some people, but if you’re visiting here insist on the basement. If anything they’re missing out on custom because it is nice and cool down there on a warm day. After 9PM you can only visit for the set menu which is 50 euros, so visit before then if seeking a drink only. This is information that will seem obvious to an Italian because it adheres to the patterns of their day – Aperitivo, after-work drinks up to the evening time is probably the best time to try it.

This is one of Milan’s best spaces. Rich reds, enticing cabinets, long cavernous space, although you must accept this experience is not going to come cheap.

Boasting 2,500+ wines to select, it is about immersing oneself in pleasure and indulgence in an atmospheric environment.

Service is on the familiar, slightly swaggering end which is something to bear in mind, although they mean well.

Not a venue without problems, but for its spectacle, absolutely unmissable.
