| Description | Distinctive informal pub with entrance around the back of a garden. Based in a historic building, these brick vaults clearly had a historic use but now house this cavernous pub decorated with medieval sigils and a huge bear with treasured strapped to its chest. The venue is drinks focused, so expect socialising, not meals and dining. Extremely gloomily lit even during the day, it is somewhere to hideout in a corner with a nice beer, or when it gets busier enjoy the clubby, down to earth buzz. (added April 2023) |
