❤️❤️❤️❤️
A strong selection of beers covering a range of styles, some Danish, some foreign, normally 8 on tap with a small fridge of bottles.
Style/Décor:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Half-step basement with low ceiling cream walls and decorated in a nautical theme befitting Nelson and Copenhagen. Small sideroom near the toilets.
Atmosphere/Character:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
The low ceiling makes this a fairly compact-feeling space, and it doesn’t take many guests to become lively feeling. At quieter times its a pleasant place to hang out.
Amenities/Events:
❤️❤️❤️
Snacks, games machine, board games
Value For Money:
❤️
Fairly expensive for the product, even for the area, made worse as there is only one serving size.
Description:
Lord Nelson sounds like it may be a potentially horrific theme pub, but here you’ll find a craft beer bar with a relatively muted and restrained decoration of ships and seafaring nik-naks which don’t steer the pub anywhere near that territory. Superior beers are on offer, albeit for a high rate, but the environment is warm and cosy feeling, pleasant even with its low basement ceiling making it a little more cramped than ideal. It is undeniably a more distinctive craft beer bar than many of the corporate chains in the city.
