Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Champagne by the glass, bottles from small producers, several taps of independent beers from small brewers and an ample back bar for alternatives including cocktails. In short, excellent.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Although low key, the fact this bar has its own style which does not pinch or copy-paste from existing templates is at the core of its likeability. A one room simple bar with chunky wooden furniture and some wine heritage on the walls, with an unpretentious pubby appearance. Back yard and front terrace extending further.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A very pleasant atmosphere with a young crowd, friendly service and all-round sense of welcome and vibrancy. The sidestreet location gives it an in-the-know feel without the dressiness and pretense that normally accompanies that.

Value For Money❤️❤️❤️❤️
Scrupulously fair value given the quality of products available, better still in Happy Hour.
DescriptionThe reality of wine bars in most of Europe is that they are targeted at a specific audience – there is less of a pub feel because the operations are interested in a certain class, perhaps a certain age group, decorating and positioning their business accordingly. L’AXO is a refreshing antidote to this idea, offering a low key, pubby sidestreet bar which nonetheless has an extensive Champagne menu (this is Reims) alongside a few taps of local beers. The interior is nicely rustic, with its own identity rather than leaning on templates, while outdoor seating extends the atmosphere of the place onto the streets. Meanwhile, service is excellent, and the prices are scrupulously honest considering the quality of goods available. This is why it comes highly recommended to anyone visiting Reims.
