A one room affair normally with a basement for events. Instruments are pinned to the wall and the musical leanings are quickly obvious. |

| Description | Laab’s concept is music and beer, cultural concepts we’re very much in favour of, but it is notable how the pointed business concept makes you think that the two sometimes don’t go hand in hand, whether that’s the dreadful offerings at arena gigs or other specialist music venues. Here though, the selection shines and is to be enjoyed in an environment that is very much a pub. Warm with a slight cabin-like feel even with its modern fittings, the places energy is drawn from live performances and a social scene enjoying high quality beer from small independent Alsatian brewers. The bar offers quiz nights, comedy shows and overall tries to provide for its community. An essential stop off on any trip to Strasbourg. (Added January 2024) |
