| Description | A central European brewpub may bring to mind sprawling halls and huge dinnerplates, but here you’ll find something much more low key. A small deliberately informal drinks-focused pub which blends a modern and traditional interior to create what is an understated but reliable and affordable hangout spot. They’ve been around a while but that does come with its pluses and minuses. In certain seasons the tap and bottle offerings can be better than others, but the beer is competent and makes a virtue of making themselves as small a target as possible rather than shooting for the stars with a bottle rocket. A pleasant social hangout that’s lacking pretense and overall pretty appealing. (Added January 2024) |
