8 taps, always featuring a good lager, Spanish craft and interesting stuff from overseas including occasionally some lambic. Several fridges if that isn’t enough.

A small corner bar with shop front type bar room and seating to the rear. Done in a familiar ramshackle industrial style.

Character

The rear room does lack a focal point without a bar, but the bar area is quite good, and when busier it works as a venue anywhere you’re sat.

Shop, snacks, outdoor seating.

A craft beer bar in central Barcelona near La Sagrada Familia, so I’ll leave you to work out what the prices will be like.
DescriptionThe gap between the Spanish bodega and the craft beer scene shows no sign of narrowing, the former still persevering with 1 or 2 taps of basic lager, the latter still aggressively partitioning a certain demographic.

Very few Spanish bars manage to bridge the gap of providing product and a distinctive venue.

A few manage to be distinctive in their own right however, and this goes for La Bona Pinta, a neighbourhood corner craft beer bar with a good range for its compact size, a casual, and fairly unpretentious approach and enough space to allow it to fill up and generate atmosphere.

There are clearly ways it could improve but for what it is bringing to the table, it deserves an inclusion. (May 2024)
