❤️❤️❤️
Looks like a traditional pub that has been slightly refit – there’s a vaguely ramshackle pubby nature as opposed to the modern/clean lines of a craft beer bar.

DescriptionTaking over the premises of a former pub, Koelschip Yard, for the the beer geeks among us references its credentials in the title, a Koelschip being a vessel where beer was stored to cool.

The bare bones of the original pub are in evidence, while the interior has been given an informal knockabout type refit – this is no craft beer bar of sleek lines, but a punkier affair. This feel is complimented by ledges containing battered old books, board games and cards etc.

The product is top of the line with its kegs frequently boasting some of the UK’s finest keg beer available anywhere – itself worth commending, but when you consider the unpretentious social space, and Glasgow’s relatively modest record for modern beers in traditional pubs, it’s altogether a strong choice.
