| Choice/ Quality of Drinks | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A broad selection with some more modern options, not just in respect of the Serbian craft beer. |
| Style/ Décor | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A 19th century warehouse which has received the 21st century treatment – brushed industrial chic inside across two floors, a café downstairs and cultural centre upstairs. Funky and contemporary, with a pleasant garden lit with lamps among a semi-ruin bar type environment with exposed walls and ruins from a derelict building. |
| Atmosphere/ Character | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Coming alive later on, afternoon visits are a tad too sleepy and quiet to see it reaching its full potential. Out in the courtyard at peak time the atmosphere is terrific. |
| Amenities/ Events | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Cultural events, community initiatives, food, snacks, outdoor seating |
| Value For Money | ❤️❤️ A little higher than most even in the city centre – not punishing, but an eyebrow is raised. |
| Description | Established in 2009, this bar and cultural centre was part of an initiative to renovated the dilapidated Mala Sava neighbourhood, which is now something approaching hipster circa 2023. Not really alternative as such, more a mainstream co-opting of certain appearance and activity, but nevertheless a venue well worth a visit. With its lamplit courtyard among a ruin-bar scene of trees and dereliction, nightlife is buzzy and you feel at the centre of the action. Upstairs is an art gallery and performance space, while the downstairs is rather under-exploited given the amount of space. For variety and especially warm summer evenings, this should be on your Belgrade hit list. (Added June 2023) |
