Description:
The district of Jeżyce is not much visited by tourists, though for fans of Belle époque era architecture it offers an impressive ensemble of grand townhouses in various states of repair/disrepair. Easily reachable by tram (providing you can get your head around the often confusing Rondo Kaponiera roundabout), you’ll find this bar in the basement of an impressive mansion.

Inside, little evidence remains of any period features. It’s a plainly decorated two room bar that trades on its social value above all else.

On entry I wasn’t particularly impressed by the venue but within a few moments certainly noticed the place has a good friendly atmosphere and tempo.

Their specialist subject is Polish craft beer and a wall of fridges behind the bar offer virtually every style you could care to name, some of which are reasonably priced.

Opening later at weekends which provides further utility, this is a useful stop off if you’re staying outside the old town, while close enough to warrant a diversion.
