Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brewpub operation which churns out some reliable unfiltered lagers along with some more adventurous stuff, occasionally available on tap and bottles. Decent selection of alternatives.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well-financed complex tastefully making use of historic premises, accentuating natural brick, black beams with effective lighting and some quirky touches such as the barrel recesses opposite the bar. Brewkit with neon signage draws the eye from the main room.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Typical brewpub crowd due to its versatility, but it treads a nice line, neither shiny and sterile nor is it, like many, dog-eared and tired.

On-site brewery, hotel, meals, snacks, outdoor seating, TV
Value For Money❤️❤️❤️
City centre prices, nothing offensive but certainly predictably pitched.
DescriptionA central brewpub is a staple offering of central Europe, so finding one that is a little bit different is a nice surprise. Such venues generally offer a reliable experience, formats and templates ranging from craft industrial chic and street food vans to the traditional wooden beer halls with communal tables. Embracing the modern and traditional is not a line many tread, but when well-executed, it can work well, as here. The exterior doesn’t stand out beyond being located in  Torun old town’s historic Hanseatic buildings, but inside it’s clear considerable finance has been lavished on it, with blackened wood fittings and muted lighting tastefully straddling new and old without any hint of a conflict. Quirky features like recessed barrel shaped seating opposite the bar and a complex of rooms emphasise creativity and importance. The brewkit is positioned at the entrance with neon signage and you’ll be shown to a table at busier times. The food and drink is reasonably up to date, with some creative offerings as well as the traditional lagers available, there’s plenty to get stuck into here. (Added April 2023)
