| Description | Mr. Maurus is a fictitious person from AH Tammsaari’s book Truth and Justice. Mr. Maurus was the director of a private school. Why it has been applied to this pub we are yet to find out, but you’ll find a very reliable basement venue kitted out in the manner of a gentleman’s study. Brooding green table lamps, dark wood and bookshelves provide an intimate atmosphere in a timeless basement space where it could be 2pm or 2am. Beer choices are solid, but unspectacular, while food here gets good reviews for its hearty portions. One not even some locals are aware of due to being set apart from the main road and the centre.
