Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lobkowicz group beer such as Platan with seasonal specials on rotation. Occasionally amazing stuff like Kvasnicovy beer. A decent enough back bar with Czech classics.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Upright town centre Hostinec with a clear revivalist feel. Breweriana decorates the wall with some museum pieces too such as the old taps. Large tables and high ceilings, with a sideroom also decently personalised.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
The rhythm of these daytime drinking holes has a fascination of all of its own, with the tapster/server combination in full swing, cast of regulars in before the lunch crowd arrives. The place is local but spacious and accommodating. You won’t need to worry about heads turning. Arm yourself with a few phrases to help smooth the experience along.

Fair for the area
DescriptionA pub with a history and a decoration that speaks to it, with a clear revivalist feel, breweriana on the walls, a high ceiling and classic Knajpa type taproom. You’ll even find some museum pieces such as old taps and cabinets in the two large rooms in the interior. The rhythm of the day gives the place its charm, with locals being gradually absorbed into the busy lunch service and tapster/server combo at work. It’s a proper pub with space to drink and socialise without any pressure to eat, and you may find some nice beers here too, such as the Kvasnicovy Platan lager we found on our visit, poured so immaculately that it deserved drooling over.
