Description:
Hlučál is a legendary Inn whose stories have echoed down the years. A stop off for hikers, day-trippers and any other fans of outdoorsy activities you can think of, which also serves as a village pub.

It is something of a centrepiece as the lane passes over a brook and widens out into a village square with bus stop opposite. There was even an old fire engine parked outside.

Inside, the 1990s are alive and well. Not much has changed since, nor does it look like it is going to.

Most people who have explored the national park or lived in the area seem to have some story or other about a night out here.

In all seriousness the pub is basic in a way that might cause some to wonder what the fuss is all about, but perhaps it’s the community feel and value it is so obviously adding, twinned to that stubborn refusal to bend to modernity.

Famous for fair value for money, which in an already pretty affordable region is quite something.

Served by bus, visiting here and hiking around to nearby pubs is possible but only with careful planning.
