Set in a grand turn of the 20th century town house in art nouveau style with ornate lead roof and impressive curved windows which can be enjoyed inside and out. Enter up townhouse steps to an open plan pub on the ground floor which looks like it may have formerly been a reception room and offices once of a day. Framed photography of the heritage of Kroměříž on the walls. Wooden furniture and a three-cushion pool table in the centre of the room.

Description:
Na Schůdkách (On the stairs) is a typically literal name for this pub which, while traditional, has a very unusual setting owing to its base in an Art Nouveau townhouse on the periphery of Kroměříž centre. Pass a grand building to the corner entrance and up the stairs to the pub.

Inside you’ll see the impressive curved windows, and an open plan layout that shows this was once in alternative use. Otherwise, from there, it becomes more pubby and traditional.

There’s a regular’s feel to the place, but its open plan enough to not feel overly cliquey either.

Social gossip, comments between groups and tables, pool being played back and forth, it is a pub that really shows Czechia as a country with a genuine pub culture.
